Court ruled
A federal judge refused to let investors add claims that the $MELANIA coin was a pre-engineered pump-and-dump and dismissed their case.
In October 2025, investors suing Meteora co-developer Benjamin Chow and Kelsier Labs’ Hayden Davis asked to add $MELANIA to their class action; Melania Trump was not named as a defendant. On September 29, 2026, Judge Jennifer Rochon of the Southern District of New York denied the request and dismissed the case with prejudice on pleading and jurisdiction grounds. Fortune reported the coin’s market value peaked above $1.6 billion on January 20, 2025, then fell to about $86 million. The White House did not respond to Fortune.
